STILL NO FUEL SURCHARGE
TMS still maintain a policy of NO fuel surcharges and refuse to follow the lead of the majority of the Industry by charging between 1% and 6.5% on top of invoice value.

TMS TO TRIAL NEW DAF 95

FOREIGN OPERATORS PAY 30% LESS FOR FUEL
UK operators are paying up to 30% higher fuel duty than other EU countries. This represents a differential of 20p on every litre used by foreign operators in the UK buying fuel in Continental Europe. Coupled with lower wage rates for Eastern European drivers used by foreign operators, this is giving them an operational advantage of up to £500 per truck per week over UK operators.
Some operators in specific 'cabotage' hot spots around UK ports are reporting this as a 'life or death' struggle for their businesses. Scottish operators have reported that higher fuel duty multiplies the damaging effect on their businesses due to the high level of 'stem mileage' in getting out of, or back to Scotland.
1,500,000 foreign registered trucks are operating 1.1bn road kms in the UK completely free. If this fuel was purchased in the UK it could raise £250m per annum.
A specially commissioned report by NERA has also identified £200m's worth of UK road track costs by foreign operators every year.
"We have no ability to claw back these costs until road pricing is introduced in 2020. It represents a cost to the taxpayer of at least £3bn in fuel duty and £3.5bn in track costs."

SAMEDAY
On demand dedicated collection services from any address and delivery within the shortest possible time to your chosen destination within the British Isles or overseas. First and foremost you look for reliability. Our same day services are structured with this requirement primarily in mind. Whether your requirement is an urgent envelope, pallets or an unusual consignment, when you contact TMS the right vehicle is selected from our fleet, a price is quoted and an estimated time of delivery is provided. Our aim is to keep you informed.
Our tracking system will provide you with regular updates on the delivery progress, and the exact position of the vehicle can be given in second’s .Unlike the majority of courier companies, all our drivers are employees driving company vehicles and all drivers wear a company uniform and carry mobile phones. We realise how important it is to have polite staff delivering consignments to your customers.
NEXTDAY
Utilizing our network of 80 depots, we are able to cater for all your NEXTDAY deliveries. Our service ranges from a 1kg envelope to pallets up to 900 Kg. Collection is before 17.00 hours Day 1 for nationwide next day delivery, Day 2 or Day 3 economy delivery. Premium services before 10:30 before 12 and timed deliveries are available for a small surcharge.
STORAGE
We have a storage facility at our warehouse which is alarmed and has 24hr security patrol and surveillance cameras. We can provide either a long or short term storage solution. Many customers use this facility to call off their requirements to be delivered directly from our warehouse.
INTERNATIONAL FREIGHT
Our shipping partners at all airports and International Hubs worldwide allow us to provide a International delivery service to over 70 countries. From an envelope to full container loads, we can collect and deliver by air, sea or road. We can ensure that you enhance your service levels by prompt, reliable, point-to-point delivery worldwide, with features including consignment tracking to check the status of your freight and specialist expertise in hazardous goods.
EUROPEAN DEDICATED EXPRESS
This is a priority dedicated vehicle service to anywhere in Europe. Our drivers are experienced in driving overseas and are fully conversant with all relevant customs documentation and European regulations. Alternatively, depending on the size of the consignment, we can use an on board courier and fly your consignment to its destination Sameday.
TECHNICAL COURIER / SPECIALIST DELIVERY
Our special projects team provides a range of tailor-made multi-destination urgent delivery services for large volumes of packages dispatched in bulk by senders. We can satisfy most requirements for unusual one-off time sensitive logistics jobs which may necessitate out of hours working arrangements or provision at short notice of extensive resources. Technical swap out is a service we offer with technically trained drivers to install or uninstall and uplift on site computer related products, new and repaired. We provide specialist deliveries of large bulky item into home addresses, the installation of the products and removal of the old products.
CONTRACT DISTRIBUTION
We can supply your company with a vehicle and driver solely contracted to work for you. The vehicle can be sign written with your company logo and the driver uniformed in your uniform. All vehicles are available including small and large vans, various 7.5 tonnes and Artic. Minimum contract time will apply.
LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT
Our 'In house' Logistics Management service has been created so TMS can manage your transportation needs on your behalf. We can run vehicles in your livery as well as planning routes, managing your warehouse and pick and pack operations. All this to allow you to get on with your business, and leave the transport and logistics in the hands of the experts.
